Although thinking appears to take place in the head, so much about it is social. Intellectual activity requires intellectual communities. You would think that the contemporary world, with its unprecedented abundance of both leisure time and college-educated people, would be awash in communities that meet this need for shared thinking--but it is not. Interintellect is a rare exception; hopefully, it will prove to be the thin edge of a giant wedge of communities that get together in order to think together.

Agnes Callard

Philosopher, professor at the University of Chicago, author of Open Socrates - The Case for a Philosophical Life (W.W. Norton)

Interintellect brings together people from many walks of life, in the U.S. and abroad, to discuss ideas and hot topics together in ways that are innovative, generative, and compelling. I always walk away from Interintellect events having learned a lot and forged new connections. And Anna Gát herself is an absolute dynamo, and a true pleasure to think with.

Musa al-Gharbi

Journalist, sociologist, author of We Have Never Been Woke (Princeton University Press)

Interintellect is a wonderful place in to be, in an increasingly disorderly internet. I enjoy the deep discussions that range broadly across disciplines. I expect many wonderful things from the seeds planted - and nurtured - by Interintellect.

Anil Seth

Neuroscientist and professor of Cognitive and Computational Neuroscience at the University of Sussex, author of Being You (Penguin Random House)
